Overview

Hones La Hood is a boutique property related practice focusing on Environmental, Planning and Local Government law (including Land & Environment Court appeals), building disputes and property transactions (such as conveyancing and leasing).  The practice was formed in 2007 resulting from the merger of two well respected North Sydney practices, and represents a symbolic relationship between those two practices. At HLH we offer practical legal advice to our clients.

With a focus on property, commencing the moment you buy to the time you sell (and everything in between), our clients consist of both city and rural councils, developers (of all sizes, ranging from small family companies to publicly listed companies) landlords, tenants, government authorities, and anyone else with a property related query.

Advocates

At HLH our lawyers regularly appear as advocates before all Courts within the NSW and Federal jurisdiction, especially the Land & Environment Court, Supreme Court and District Court and at times, the Local Court and CTTT.

In-house advocacy (as opposed to briefing barristers) is consistent with our commitment to close, and focused, relationships with our clients. We brief counsel only when necessary or specifically requested to do so.

Transactions

We act in respect of all property related transactions - from buying to selling to preparation of management statements and voluntary planning agreements to drafting easements, caveats, wills and powers of attorney.
